2009 State Referee Recertification

This is a gentle reminder about the State Referee Recertification Clinic to be held on Saturday August 9th at the Tri-C West Campus in Parma.

The Fitness Testing will be held on the track at 10:00 AM on the York Road side of the building.

The classroom clinic will be held in Room A-223 at 11:30 AM. The written test will be given at this clinic. All State Referee Grades (5/6 - 15/16) are required to take, and pass, the written examination to Recertify for the next year.

US Soccer will be mailing out the information about Recertification of all Referees on August 1, 2008. It is quite likely you will have the letter by the time we have the clinic. You may want to bring that letter along so you can ask any questions about Referee Recertification for 2009.

Ohio North 2008 Registration

Your registration process for 2008 will be different than in the past. Everything related to your USSF Re-Certification will be handled on-line this year.

First, go to the Ohio North Referee website at www.ohnrefs.org. Select Clinics and register for a Re-Certification Clinic in your area that you wish to attend. Registration will not be complete until the 5 hours of In-Service Instruction have been met at one of these clinics.

Second, please click on the link to the US Soccer Registration site. You will need the password provided to you in this letter to access the site. Please make sure all the information on file for you is correct and make corrections where necessary. You may then complete your registration using a credit card to pay the necessary fees. Please register for all disciplines (Assessor, Assignor or Instructor) at the same time you complete your Referee registration. Note the additional “State Fee” being charged this year to pay for the OYSAN Risk Management Program in Ohio North.

In order to be eligible to officiate, assess, assign or instruct youth players or referees in Ohio North, any person over the age of 18 must submit an application to the OYSAN Risk Management Program. You can access that through the link on our website to the OYSAN website.
